Sunday Service: 12/4/22 Pastor John Deuteronomy 8:2-5 “Remember how the Lord your God led you all the way in the wilderness these forty years, to humble and test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands. He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your ancestors had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord. Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Know then in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the Lord your God disciplines you.” Numbers 20:1-13 ** The Israelites needed to be taken through the wilderness to be changed and matured in order to look like what they were going to be blessed with There are orders to our lessons. God will take us through a process of testing. We won’t be taken right into the storm from coming into birth because it would destroy us. He’ll take us into the storm when we have been given the knowledge to handle it. “And the people of Israel, the whole congregation, came into the wilderness of Zin in the first month, and the people stayed in Kadesh. And Miriam Miriam is Aaron and Moses’ sister died there and was buried there. Now there was no water for the congregation. And they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron. What do you do when you don’t have what you think that you need? What do you do when you don’t feel secure enough to do what is required of you. When you are put into this situation, you’ll find out what your spirit man really followed and believed in; Were you following the source or the resource? “I’m teaching you so you don’t live by what you think you need to live by. I am your source of life.” he’ll remove things so we can learn how to live without those things so they won’t become our god. And the people quarreled with Moses and said, “Would that we had perished when our brothers perished before the Lord! They released and let go of the promise God sent them into the wilderness with. Why have you brought the assembly of the Lord into this wilderness, that we should die here, both we and our cattle? What do you do when the pressure of not having reaches those you care about? And why have you made us come up out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place? It is no place for grain or figs or vines or pomegranates, and there is no water to drink.” You can be so engulfed in how bad our situation was to where we can no longer see the hope of our promises. “Massah and Meribah” they concluded God wasn’t with them based on what they didn’t have “Try” “Test” I am going to give myself to everything you’ve said to see if you are faithful. To taste what he’s given before us. You prove yourself to me so I can validate you. “I’m going to walk by faith and submit to your word until it comes to pass.” “I want to see it right now. If you don’t do it now then I won’t believe it.” We forfeit so much peace when we doubt God. He knows what’s needed to be made more like him. This requires suffering because we’ll be forced to go without what was once comfortable to us and caused us security. But Jesus never counted his process as robbery. Then Moses and Aaron went from the presence of the assembly to the entrance of the tent of meeting and fell on their faces. And the glory of the Lord appeared to them, and the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle.” And Moses took the staff from before the Lord, as he commanded him. Then Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock, and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels: shall we bring water for you out of this rock?” Frustration will cause us to move outside of the instructions God gave to us. And Moses lifted up his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, and water came out abundantly, and the congregation drank, and their livestock. And the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe in me, to uphold me as holy in the eyes of the people of Israel, We have to trust God I’m order for others to go through their process as well and remain in the steps he ordered to get us from A to B. We can’t allow the state of others to dictate our willingness to obey God’s word to every detail. Holiness is a pathway that makes us like him. When we are given something to steward over and for others to see God through us, we need to remain in every step. Moses disqualified himself as a leader by not following the steps of God. therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them.” These are the waters of Meribah, where the people of Israel quarreled with the Lord, and through them he showed himself holy.” Exodus 17:7 “And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the quarreling of the people of Israel, and because they tested the Lord by saying, “Is the Lord among us or not?”” Matthew 4:1-11 “Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. He was sent into the wilderness for every year of the Israelites’ process. (1 day : 1 year) The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. “If you are the Son of God,” Before Jesus went into the wilderness he was baptized and was given a word. Before he went into the wilderness he was given a word that needed to be tried. Like Jesus, the Israelites had a word as well. he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written: “ ‘He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’” Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’” Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” This was a test around steps “I’ll give you the means to the end without having to go through the pain that comes with trying to get to the end.” it’s easier to follow the enemy because he makes our lives seemingly easy, but it’s the processes we go through that qualify us to be the people that are capable of handling God’s promises. Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’” Then the devil left him, and angels came and attended him.” We need to try God’s word in all seasons of doubt and disbelief. We need to submit to God’s promises and the words he’s given us. We need to rely and depend on what God says in every circumstance. Resistance - to withstand the action or effect of Resistance withstands the effect of God working in us. I’m resisting, we’ll always get the stick and not the fruit. We withstand what God wants to do inside of us. He wants to work on us, through us, for us, and for others Give yourself to the process. Stop twisting and be willing to go without so God can teach us. He will turn us to the people and allow us to become the people who turn the temperature in the room. He has food for us that we don’t know of yet. In order to update one thing, you have to update everything. Goal: to be transformed in a way to be able function with regardless of what we have and/or experiencing. there’s nothing the world can do to us to shake us because we don’t live by this world but by the source who provides everything in this world. God is patient enough to make something out of nothing. To have enough patient to be willing to work with something m, regardless of how long it takes, until it begins to be shaped into something.

Sunday Service: 11/27/22 Mr. Charleston Faith allows us to do what’s humanly impossible. When the word comes, Satan is going to tempt us, creating a battle. We need to choose the side that fellowships with God. This battle will lead us to fight the word we are carrying in our minds. Trials come to stabilize us outside of how we feel. God will not give us something/allow us to go through something that goes beyond the measure he’s given us. Are we of sober mind? Are we watchful and seeking? Do you recognize the times? Some of us live lives that are completely contradictory to the words God have spoken. When we listen to the Spirit and consider what He says, we’ll operate out of God’s word and not the understanding and systems of this world. God’s word isn’t dependent on us. We were created to walk in all of the prophecies God has spoken to us. He’s building us so we’ll be able to get to the place of fulfilling his purpose(s). “I have to keep on running “ - we need to make anything contrary to God I’m alignment with him. He’s given us the measure we need to align ourselves with the level of faith he wants to see us produce. He’ll give us a way of escape so we won’t fall victim to the attacks of the enemy. Even though the situation may not change, our minds need to change. When we’re strong in faith, we’ll give God praise for the process and even the trials. The faith we keep is only by the empowerment of God, we need to allow it to multiple and produce. The Spirit will give us strength to press through it. Don’t get so caught up in what you’re looking at to where we turn your eyes away from the one who’s in control of all we see. It takes a certain level of soberness to keep our eyes on God. If we don’t believe in whole, we don’t fully believe. He hasn’t given us any test that he hasn’t given us the tools to overcome. We make the decision to not follow through. He tests us on the material we’ve learned already. He gives us tests because he’s given us the material we need to pass the test. We need to be aware of when the need for a decision is starting in our lives. God prepared these works for us before we were born. Our focus or lack of changes or outcomes. We will fail our tests because we weren’t focused during the times we were meant to learn. If we knew the time of the test, we would prepare for it. God doesn’t tell us to prove the genuineness of our faith. Do you recall all of the information or only what you know is going to be on the test? His word is critical to our lives, there is life in his word. We won’t be ready as clay until there is no more resistance as God molds us how he sees fit. We live by Gods revelation. We get a greater understanding to his nature, character, and plans. It’s important to meet together because we’ll be able to put pieces together that has been revealed to others corporately. The enemy targets our circumstances because it interacts with our senses. We can’t live off of the conclusion our senses are making do to our circumstances, we need to live off of the conclusion God will reveal to us. Spend your time making yourself available to be filled by God.

We need to get out of our comfort zone and out of the feel like basis. Imagine how life would be if God felt like giving us what we did and did not deserve. We need to shift and know God has us on a ground playing field. Were on a solid foundation and do to operating out of our feel like basis, we shake. He’s ready to work in our lives corporately and personally. We need to be sensitive to the word and what’s given unto us because we’re meant to use those things. He’s looking at areas in our lives where we are captive. We’re trying to do things that we’re not ready for. The captor deceives us and holds us captives in areas, but we’re are still God’s. The enemy isn’t some monster, he’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Hell doesn’t look like hell, if it looked like it, we would know not to go down that path. He covers it up and we fall victim, but God is going to open up our eyes. If we act like we don’t see, we will be handed over to a reprobate mind. We don’t have to serve our captor. He’s already given us the strength and power to reject our captor. Stockholm syndrome is real. He wants to reveal to us the ways we serve our captives without us even realizing at times. We don’t have to be hopeless because God is evident and real Stockholm syndrome - a coping mechanism to a captive or abusive situation To stay we have to be spirit led. We live by conditions but we’re meant to live by every word out of God’s mouth. He will give us insight and parameters to live by. Well question how we got “there” but it’s because we stopped being led. Take hold of your thought life. Find the line that separates us living by our own rules or living by the man that is found in Jesus Christ. Children and teens are like sponges. When they don’t get certain tools, they simply exist based on mimicking what they see. They handle situations based on how they’ve learned to adapt to situations. We have to be trained. Don’t mix faith with expectation. Often times we look for a response or result of the training given when the transformation will happen upon God’s will and timing. When we are being completely spirit led, we recognize how much God is actually doing and it’ll push us into a certain type of praise. Being Spirit led allows us to see how much he’s done and how much our life isn’t ours to take on ourselves. When our wisdom hits a cap and God’s wisdom takes control, we’ll have a new praise to give. It’s the presence of God that allows us to become who God wants us to be. When we stay in one area, we often miss what God is doing in another area. It’s the small spaces that become the new hills. We can’t apply what we used to know to grow in what we don’t know. We’re living to build a foundation at BTV.

Sunday Service Sunday Service - 10/30/22 • 2 Timothy 2:20-22 NLT “In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use. Special - appraisal; “is this worthy of honor?” There is a different level of expectation and honor that comes with things deemed “special.” Special things are reserved for others to enjoy and reserved from things that could tear it apart. Sometimes we want to be common (cheap) because we don’t want the restrictions that come with being reserved for God’s purpose; we don’t want to pay the cost to become used for a special occasion is costly To be “cheap” we won’t last. Clay and wood won’t pass the fire, form of testing. To be used doesn’t equal to be reserved. God will test a man, to prove a man, to show his faith as costly; something that requires much. Real faith is tested. We will be tested to be refined and separated from what’s common to be made holy; sacred. Everyone started from the spiritual space and is born with a measure. If you keep yourself pure, Conviction > repentance > fruit Repentance produces fruit, fruit that takes a process and needs great care. Godly sorrow - things we do that creates a feeling that we would never want to do it again because we know it hurt __. we often play with repentance because we don’t have a deep enough sorrow to not sin against God again. We don’t genuinely feel the sorrow that God feels when we wrong against him and others. “Keep” We will remain in a place of repentance due to genuine change. We won’t continue to go through the same cycles because we no longer want to put ourselves, others, and God through the pain that comes from sinning. When we repent, God gives us a seed that, when in fruition, will prevent us from partaking in that sin again. We need to hold onto that seed and cultivate it so it can grow and mature. you will be a special utensil for honorable use. God will use us in a special way if we consecrate ourselves and keep ourselves pure. We will be fully devoted to him. Your life will be clean, and you will be ready for the Master to use you for every good work. Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Youthful lust has to do with maturity, there is lust connected to our maturity. We can mature in one area, but become immature in the new places we’ve never been before. There is lust tied to every area of immaturity. Lust - desire for rebellion; forbidden Maturity - you’ve been grown to understand good and evil. What used to catch you up, no longer does because you have a greater understanding “Run” - intentional activity to move from something quickly If we don’t run, the lust will overtake us because we’re not strong enough to resist the urges in our immaturity. God wants us to be convicted before we enter and not in the midst of lust and sin because it will be too late. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts.” God will use us in a special way if we consecrate ourselves and keep ourselves pure. “Pursue righteous living” “Has your faith led you into it?” are you going out of your way to pursue (go after) righteousness. Be careful in all you do to make sure we’re obeying God in every way. Be careful Pay close attention because the smallest things matter. Evaluate everything you’re doing and consult with God for validation. Ignorant sin - sin you partake in without knowing or understanding the wrong in it. “allow yourself to be forgiven for the things you didn’t know before you knew.” Acts 17 There was a time when I didn’t hold ignorance from you. But now that you know, you will be held accountable for all you didn’t know that has now been revealed. It’s our decision to make to do everything that I command you. If you are careful to follow these commands, blessings will follow you wherever you go. If you don’t, curses will follow you wherever you go.” when you live outside of the obedience that comes with living our life, you will share in the same curses that were meant for the enemy because evil is evil. Be willing to make the adjustments required to align yourself with God and His will. Iniquity - sin inside of the bloodline Good fish are those who become like Jesus, not just those who do the work for Jesus. “Count up the cost” - the cost is your life Submission doesn’t mean compliance think on the pleasant things and you’ll receive the power and strength to do what God is telling you to do. Proverbs 9 Deuteronomy 28:1-34 NLT ““If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all his commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world. You will experience all these blessings if you obey the Lord your God: Your towns and your fields will be blessed. Your children and your crops will be blessed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be blessed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be blessed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed. “The Lord will conquer your enemies when they attack you. They will attack you from one direction, but they will scatter from you in seven! “The Lord will guarantee a blessing on everything you do and will fill your storehouses with grain. The Lord your God will bless you in the land he is giving you. “If you obey the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways, the Lord will establish you as his holy people as he swore he would do. Then all the nations of the world will see that you are a people claimed by the Lord, and they will stand in awe of you. “The Lord will give you prosperity in the land he swore to your ancestors to give you, blessing you with many children, numerous livestock, and abundant crops. The Lord will send rain at the proper time from his rich treasury in the heavens and will bless all the work you do. You will lend to many nations, but you will never need to borrow from them. If you listen to these commands of the Lord your God that I am giving you today, and if you carefully obey them, the Lord will make you the head and not the tail, and you will always be on top and never at the bottom. You must not turn away from any of the commands I am giving you today, nor follow after other gods and worship them. “But if you refuse to listen to the Lord your God and do not obey all the commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come and overwhelm you: Your towns and your fields will be cursed. Your fruit baskets and breadboards will be cursed. Your children and your crops will be cursed. The offspring of your herds and flocks will be cursed. Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be cursed. “The Lord himself will send on you curses, confusion, and frustration in everything you do, until at last you are completely destroyed for doing evil and abandoning me. The Lord will afflict you with diseases until none of you are left in the land you are about to enter and occupy. The Lord will strike you with wasting diseases, fever, and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought, and with blight and mildew. These disasters will pursue you until you die. The skies above will be as unyielding as bronze, and the earth beneath will be as hard as iron. The Lord will change the rain that falls on your land into powder, and dust will pour down from the sky until you are destroyed. “The Lord will cause you to be defeated by your enemies. You will attack your enemies from one direction, but you will scatter from them in seven! You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth. Your corpses will be food for all the scavenging birds and wild animals, and no one will be there to chase them away. “The Lord will afflict you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, scurvy, and the itch, from which you cannot be cured. The Lord will strike you with madness, blindness, and panic. You will grope around in broad daylight like a blind person groping in the darkness, but you will not find your way. You will be oppressed and robbed continually, and no one will come to save you. “You will be engaged to a woman, but another man will sleep with her. You will build a house, but someone else will live in it. You will plant a vineyard, but you will never enjoy its fruit. Your ox will be butchered before your eyes, but you will not eat a single bite of the meat. Your donkey will be taken from you, never to be returned. Your sheep and goats will be given to your enemies, and no one will be there to help you. You will watch as your sons and daughters are taken away as slaves. Your heart will break for them, but you won’t be able to help them. A foreign nation you have never heard about will eat the crops you worked so hard to grow. You will suffer under constant oppression and harsh treatment. You will go mad because of all the tragedy you see around you.”

Sunday Service: 10/23/22 Pastor John Matthew 17:17-20 ESV “And Jesus answered, “O faithless and twisted generation, how long am I to be with you? How long am I to bear with you? Bring him here to me.“ And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him, and the boy was healed instantly. Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”” Luke 17:5-6 ESV “The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!“ And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” Secret of the Ages: Christ lives in you the same life and power is inside of us. The difference: Jesus’ disciples didn’t have the faith to match their confession. Believing =/= trying to believe If doubt is present, faith can’t abound. I know it will happen =/= I hope it will happen Belief - complete persuasion of Change doesn’t happen if we don’t have faith. change comes with confession, but it won’t take place without faith. We see impossibilities in places where there should be possibilities. Matthew 13:31-32 ESV “He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. Seed does no good unless it’s sown. When sown, it doesn’t automatically produce a harvest. The more faith you have, the more of God’s Kingdom will be shown. Faith needs to be grown so you may have the conviction to confess what you have been convinced of. It is the smallest of all seeds, we forsake the small beginnings because it takes too much time, energy, and resources to grow and produce a harvest. We need to be willing to toil for it to grow. we can’t grow without the process the seed requires. but when it has grown it is larger than all the garden plants and becomes a tree, when you take care of it, there’s nothing that it can’t handle. so (purpose) that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.”” The Word is the seed. When it produces its fruit and comes to fruition, you’ll make a safe haven for others to dwell on. You have to treat your faith like a seed. Everything you receive from God is by believing in your heart and confession. You have to believe from your own heart, no one can do it for you. Matthew 16:8-12 ESV “But Jesus, aware of this, said, “O you of little faith, why are you discussing among yourselves the fact that you have no bread? There are a lot of discussion, planning, and preparation that is happening through unbelief. How much time are you wasting doing things you shouldn’t because of your unbelief. Do you not yet perceive? we misinterpret the Word because we’re reading through unbelief. Our heart has the wrong belief so we’re overlooking is word. Do you not remember He caused them to reflect, ponder, and consider. When we remember things that have happened before, it’ll cause us to ponder and consider until it becomes our truth. We do ponder, but we ponder and meditate on the wrong thoughts and false truths. This meditation on the word opened up their hearts to believe. It was only when they remembered that they understood what Jesus was talking about. There’s a lot of things we miss due to our lack of meditation. Meditation - to sit with God’s word to where it turns to understanding that results in faith and conviction of our heart to believe. the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? How is it that you fail to understand that I did not speak about bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” To perceive and understand is connected to believing God works in us to allow us to see and perceive things outside of the understanding from others. We’ll understand and embrace him in a different way that allows us to forsake what we used to know and follow God. There are promises kept in the unseen world. We also can’t access them without being connected with the unseen. Faith is what pulls your blessings from the unseen world to the seen. There is authority and power that is your inheritance from Christ. If your heart doesn’t believe it your confession amounts to nothing. How different is meditation from praying? Meditation should be included in our prayer. It’s rehearsing what God has spoken to us. Devotion is a time for God to saturate into us and for him to pour inside of us. Prayer has become a one way thing with God, where we say all we want to say and that’s that. We don’t enjoy the part of waiting on God and reflecting on what he’s saying; we’re in a rush. It is more important for the teacher to tell a student what they know. As a student, it’s it on to rehearse it until we believe and understand it. Our posture and hearts before we enter into the presence of God can prevent him from speaking. We have our own plan and means to get to our intended end. We want God to make up for what part(s) of our plan we don’t have, when in reality, our plan is going to crumble. He wants us to forget any understanding we thought we knew so he can actually teach, transform, and show us the proper way. We should want his best and not our best. There’s a waiting period. patience has to be mixed with what’s given unto you. It will bloom inside of us until it produces a harvest. Our faith needs to be grown so we can believe it completely which will allow us to confess and say things we wouldn’t have been able to due to our unbelief. All true belief produces gain. stick with the seed until it produces belief in your heart. How much unbelief and doubt exists within your heart? “Lord, increase our faith!” **Rehearse what God says until it becomes belief. “Be still and know (believe) that I am God.” Why do we doubt even when we’ve seen? Do you not remember? Does what you don’t see outweigh what you do see? Does what you do see outweigh all you don’t see. **We go into the barbershop and hair salon to get our hair done. We don’t always see the process but there’s a level of trust we have in order to allow someone to work on our head. We go back to them because we know they won’t do us wrong, but we doubt God when he has never done us wrong. Is our belief circumstantial? Why do you trust the resource more than the source? Did he not give them the gift to be able to cut/style your hair? There are some vices we don’t know we have because we’ve been seducing other vices. As he removes them, he will reveal other vices we didn’t know. How do we get to the point where we access the power that’s wrapped up in His Name? Is what God speaking transforming you from the inside out? Faith is conformed based on the words you speak; what you allow to come out of your mouth. Realize and recognize the season you’re in so you can embrace what God is doing. Don’t allow what you think might happen defeat you and your faith. Don’t doubt what God has revealed to you; what you know. “In times of adversity, when you faint your strength is small. The enemy is waiting to take what God has given to us. We have to hold onto what he’s given to withstand. “Be alert because the enemy prowls around like a roaring lion waiting to devour its prey.” Meditation allows the seed to go into the ground. Under the ground, when no one can see, the enemy tries to choke out the seed, he tests the seed and does anything he can to prevent God’s word from coming into our hearts. There’s going to be a point in time where no one can help you but God. When we’re at our lowest, that’s when we have the least amount of trust in man and ourselves. It’s at that point where we rely more on God’s strength and not our own.

Matthew 17:16-20 NLT “At the foot of the mountain, a large crowd was waiting for them. A man came and knelt before Jesus and said, “Lord, have mercy on my son. He has seizures and suffers terribly. He often falls into the fire or into the water. So I brought him to your disciples, but they couldn’t heal him.” Jesus said, “You faithless and corrupt people! How long must I be with you? How long must I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Then Jesus rebuked the demon in the boy, and it left him. From that moment the boy was well. Afterward the disciples asked Jesus privately, “Why couldn’t we cast out that demon?” “You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”” The man’s son had seizures and he could stand to see him suffer like that anymore. He didn’t go to Jesus for his son’s healing but rather Jesus’ disciples, believing that they were filed with just as much of the Spirit as he was to heal his son. They had the authority but not the faith. People go to us for help because they realize the anointing that’s on us. They understand that there’s something in us that will be able to help them that they don’t have, or haven’t accessed, on their own. The father walked out in faith to receive help but the disciples didn’t have the capacity to heal him because they lacked the faith required. Props to the man for trying again and going to Jesus, but not all people do that. Disappointment is so strong in them that they don’t want to try again. Nevertheless, a lot of people could be saved if we had the capacity the first time.

Sunday Service: Pastor John - 09/04/22 Purpose Destiny is purpose fulfilled. It’s about the where, who and when. Where you have been designated and had to remain, when the time has been determined for you to achieve what he has wanted you to achieve, and who you are dedicated to. What’s inside of you is for a specific people, certain people come alive when you speak and some don’t get energized by your word. For every destiny there is a discipline that trains, shapes and tests you in order to sanctify you. He’s preparing you to be able to handle your destiny. Temptation is to deter you from you destiny. To get us to forsake our destiny, the enemy will shake us through our self discipline. Temptation has a way of shaping us into image of the enemy’s will. What was temptation for his disciples was testing for Jesus. Jesus intentionally went into every situation. He was aware and understood everything that was going to happen, hence why he was praying so often. Everything that transpired Jesus knew was the enemy’s strategy to get him off track and unfocused. He intentionally went into every situation. Prayer gives direction from the spirit. Prayer allowed Jesus to submit to every area before the situation happened. He received strength to go do what needed to be done. Without prayer we are lost, we never know what we’re entering into. Jesus understood so he was able to submit and live a life that was pleasing to God. If our flesh out rules our spirit, it won’t matter how willing we are, we won’t be able to please God by doing things of the Spirit. “The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.” Watch and pray. When we say “yes,” we are saying yes to what is required of us throughout our journey and submitting to him through all we go through. To watch to be alert, to keep awake. To be actively cautious and prepared Matthew 26:38-41 “He told them, “My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.” He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, “My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” Then he returned to the disciples and found them asleep. He said to Peter, “Couldn’t you watch with me even one hour? Keep watch and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation. For the spirit is willing, but the body is weak!”” Luke 22:40-46 “There he told them, “Pray that you will not give in to temptation.” He walked away, about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, “Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” Then an angel from heaven appeared and strengthened him. He prayed more fervently, and he was in such agony of spirit that his sweat fell to the ground like great drops of blood. At last he stood up again and returned to the disciples, only to find them asleep, exhausted from grief. “Why are you sleeping?” he asked them. “Get up and pray, so that you will not give in to temptation.”” Matthew 26:47-56 “And even as Jesus said this, Judas, one of the twelve disciples, arrived with a crowd of men armed with swords and clubs. They had been sent by the leading priests and elders of the people. The traitor, Judas, had given them a prearranged signal: “You will know which one to arrest when I greet him with a kiss.” So Judas came straight to Jesus. “Greetings, Rabbi!” he exclaimed and gave him the kiss. Jesus said, “My friend, go ahead and do what you have come for.” Then the others grabbed Jesus and arrested him. But one of the men with Jesus pulled out his sword and struck the high priest’s slave, slashing off his ear. “Put away your sword,” Jesus told him. “Those who use the sword will die by the sword. Don’t you realize that I could ask my Father for thousands of angels to protect us, and he would send them instantly? But if I did, how would the Scriptures be fulfilled that describe what must happen now?” Then Jesus said to the crowd, “Am I some dangerous revolutionary, that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there teaching every day. But this is all happening to fulfill the words of the prophets as recorded in the Scriptures.” At that point, all the disciples deserted him and fled.” Mark 14:43-51 “And immediately, even as Jesus said this, Judas, one of the twelve disciples, arrived with a crowd of men armed with swords and clubs. They had been sent by the leading priests, the teachers of religious law, and the elders. The traitor, Judas, had given them a prearranged signal: “You will know which one to arrest when I greet him with a kiss. Then you can take him away under guard.” As soon as they arrived, Judas walked up to Jesus. “Rabbi!” he exclaimed, and gave him the kiss. Then the others grabbed Jesus and arrested him. But one of the men with Jesus pulled out his sword and struck the high priest’s slave, slashing off his ear. Jesus asked them, “Am I some dangerous revolutionary, that you come with swords and clubs to arrest me? Why didn’t you arrest me in the Temple? I was there among you teaching every day. But these things are happening to fulfill what the Scriptures say about me.” Then all his disciples deserted him and ran away. One young man following behind was clothed only in a long linen shirt. When the mob tried to grab him, he slipped out of his shirt and ran away naked.” Matthew 26:69-75 “Meanwhile, Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard. A servant girl came over and said to him, “You were one of those with Jesus the Galilean.” But Peter denied it in front of everyone. “I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said. Later, out by the gate, another servant girl noticed him and said to those standing around, “This man was with Jesus of Nazareth.” Again Peter denied it, this time with an oath. “I don’t even know the man,” he said. A little later some of the other bystanders came over to Peter and said, “You must be one of them; we can tell by your Galilean accent.” Peter swore, “A curse on me if I’m lying—I don’t know the man!” And immediately the rooster crowed. Suddenly, Jesus’ words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows, you will deny three times that you even know me.” And he went away, weeping bitterly.” he was in a state of slumber. He wasn’t aware of the enemy in that situation until the rooster crowed. It didn’t matter how willing his spirit was, his flesh was weak. The disciples lived lives of reaction, going with their initial reaction. They lacked self discipline so everything was a temptation to them. If we don’t prepare, we won’t succeed. Testing is where the spirit leads, temptation is where your flesh leads when you’re not prepared and lack the Lords guidance. Jesus’ calling gave him a humility that he took into every situation. He wasn’t ignorant to Satan’s devices, and was able to have victory through every test.

Sunday Service: 08/28/22 Pastor John Matthew 10:19-20 “When you are arrested, don’t worry about how to respond or what to say. Don’t allow yourself to get into that anxious space of thinking and trying to plan (through your own thoughts and to be done your own strength) God will give you the right words at the right time. the disciplines had to have faith in what Jesus was telling them. Matthew 21:18-22 “In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, he was hungry, and he noticed a fig tree beside the road. He went over to see if there were any figs, but there were only leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” And immediately the fig tree withered up. The disciples were amazed when they saw this and asked, “How did the fig tree wither so quickly?” Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it.”” Faith is not only hope, it’s something that needs to be accumulated. Grace produces faith, it’s what enables you to have faith. Faith is being persuaded in the revelation that has been given to you. When we read God’s word, something needs to happen in our hearts In order to be persuaded; arguments need to take place until one overcomes the other. in order to praise during times of trial, you need to be persuaded For it is not you who will be speaking—it will be the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.” Jesus was trying to teach them how to allow the Spirit to speak through them. He wanted to show them how the Spirit can work through them to partner with in order to do exploits and bring God’s Kingdom to the earth. These instructions were to persuade them to not do things through their own strength, but rather, wait until they’re given something from the Lord so God may work through them. We spend more time being anxious trying to find out how to and what to say than we do allowing the Lord to work through us and give us the words to say; We spend more time thinking than receiving. To be holy is to be like Christ. we need to know his thoughts, how he went about certain things, his relationship with the Father, and how he spoke with his disciples. We need to become students of him When we pray, we don’t get the grace that we need because there isn’t enough brokenness. Something needs to be given to us to enable us to do what we need to do. We lack brokenness because we rely on everything but God. Brokenness is the act of pride and arrogance being broken down and we have to come to God through humility. Miracle - strength, power, and ability We witness miracles daily. God wants to work through us. We run away from responsibility because we see it as “we have to,” God wants to do his work through us. We need to spend more time in prayer, brokenness, and humility. Your familiar places with your own self will be your biggest enemy. The place where you are most familiar and comfortable with yourself is the place that needs to die. We can become comfortable in not believing, being disobedient, and having disbelief. Mark 16:15-18 “And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned. These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages. They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”” When we humble ourselves before the Lord, it will be him that works through us and renews our minds. Faith is a fruit of the Spirit being inside of us. We need to press towards the mark, Jesus, not necessarily faith. We press towards Jesus by drawing near to God; through prayer, his word and renewing our minds. We need to be broken inside of our prayers in order to be humble enough to recognize it’s God that is working through us for his Kingdom to be established on earth. As we struggle and choose to draw near, he will impart his grace through our surrenderance to his rule in our lives. People will draw closer to God through our actions. When we read God’s word, we’ll learn more about his character, and be able to impart that into our lives daily. God wants us to get to the point where we forgive people as quickly as it happens. The moment the offense occurs, and our hearts get out of line with God, we need to forgive. We can’t get closer to God if we don’t know. We should have testimonies daily with God, through our experiences and the situations that unfold. We can’t be who God is calling us to be by ourself. We can walk by God’s vision, but we need faith to access it and not be miserable in the midst of our walk. Who God has called us to be is greater than who we are now, and it’s attainable only through faith. If we want to become greater, we have to exercise our faith.

Bible Study: 08/11/22 Love and Kindness - Mrs CJ John 14:26 God intended us to be in community to represent his love for us clubs, groups, sororities It’s hard for us to get into community because we have a preconceived version of what we expect/want community to look like. have you ever longed for a community/friendship that looked a certain way In a group, would you rather pick who you want on your team or be assigned someone? How can your willingness to invest in those in front of you, the people you didn’t choose, make a difference? Invest - put money towards to better, in hopes that it will prosper To invest in people is to put energy, time and effort towards them. To learn more about them through communion and fellowship and adjust from the place of flesh to love them where they are. It’s hard to love someone that’s difficult, but you love them anyway For our body to be strong, each member has to hold their weight and play their role. Without community and fellowship, the break in our relationship(s) won’t be mended 1 Peter 4:8-10 “Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins. Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay. God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.” our transformation didn’t happen over night, it took a long time of rejecting and be forgiven to decide to be saved. It takes people willing to love in those times for others to utilize the gift that God gave them to help those that are in front of them. we 1 Corinthians 13:1-7 “If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing. Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” Love goes beyond our limits. It’s our ability to remain kind, loyal, and honest through all situations, good and bad. Love is seeing people and putting their struggles and need above your own. It’s a choice to be kind, it’s a choice to love. We need to make ourselves open and available to love anyone that’s in from of us, not waiting on those we choose. + :13 “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” When we love beyond ourselves, we allow the spirit to work inside of us and produce the character traits inside of us. God has given us gifts to use to love and help others. You can’t love anyone anymore than they let you love them. People will see God’s love through our acts (actions) of kindness Why do we feel guilty for having ___ compared to someone’s lack there of? The things we complain about, someone else would give anything for. God will show us how to reach people beyond our comfort zone. Through a place of hopelessness, God will show up. Through the times we are overwhelmed, God uses those moments to edify someone else. Doubts the enemy puts in our head: They’ll get offended They will reject it Remember last time… It’ll never/they’ll never Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.” When someone is put on our hearts to check in, give a word, etc., God has done something in their hearts to receive. It may not be visible in the moment, but it’s working. You don’t always have to say it, love in an action is sometimes more than someone needs. What are the challenges between ourself that prevent us from showing our love, prevent us from being honest, and lead us to rationalizing what God is leading us to do? What stops us from receiving the love and kindness that someone is trying to give to us? What areas in your heart that need to be healed in order to love and be loved? Allow people to love on you Proverbs 10:12 “Hatred stirs up quarrels, but love makes up for all offenses.” The initial pour is God doing his work inside of us. The outpour that goes into the next level of the fountain is what fills others. There are people that are connected to us that need what we have within us. Jesus showed his love for us through dying for us. We can show our love to others by dying to our flesh and emotions, and allowing the spirit that was left with us to rule inside of our hearts. Every act of kindness is our ability to share God’s kindness “Do it for me, love them for me.” What’s your benefit? What warms you and makes it worth it?

Bible Study: 07/14/22 Mrs. CJ Why am I going through this? What is God trying to teach me? In which areas is he trying to develop us in? Grumbling against God is due to our lack of knowledge of him and how he operates. Through knowing, we’ll go through life’s circumstances without speaking out against God and doubting. Jeremiah 2:1-8 (8) “The priests did not ask, ‘Where is the Lord?’ Those who deal with the law did not know me; the leaders rebelled against me. The prophets prophesied by Baal, following worthless idols.” somewhere along the way, they went after other gods and forgot about what God did for them and taught them. When we forget, we draw farther away from him because we no longer know him and his character. “In all your years of adultery and detestable sin, you have not once remembered the days long ago when you lay naked in a field, kicking about in your own blood.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭16:22‬ ‭NLT‬‬ Isaiah 5:11-13 “What sorrow for those who get up early in the morning looking for a drink of alcohol and spend long evenings drinking wine to make themselves flaming drunk. They furnish wine and lovely music at their grand parties— lyre and harp, tambourine and flute— but they never think about the Lord or notice what he is doing. So my people will go into exile far away because they do not know me. Those who are great and honored will starve, and the common people will die of thirst.” they are taking pleasures in the world and joining in on what the world has to offer. People perish because they don’t know God. Isaiah 1:2-3 “Listen, O heavens! Pay attention, earth! This is what the Lord says: “The children I raised and cared for have rebelled against me. Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care— but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them. Oh, what a sinful nation they are— loaded down with a burden of guilt. They are evil people, corrupt children who have rejected the Lord. They have despised the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.” signs of not knowing God and forgetting about him is found through our deeds and actions. Why do you read your word? What does your prayer life with God look like? Are you dedicating time for him or forgetting about him? **We should be constantly developing our relationship with God. Hosea 4:1-6 “Hear the word of the Lord, O people of Israel! The Lord has brought charges against you, saying: “There is no faithfulness, no kindness, no knowledge of God in your land. You make vows and break them; you kill and steal and commit adultery. There is violence everywhere— one murder after another. That is why your land is in mourning, and everyone is wasting away. Even the wild animals, the birds of the sky, and the fish of the sea are disappearing. “Don’t point your finger at someone else and try to pass the blame! My complaint, you priests, is with you. So you will stumble in broad daylight, and your false prophets will fall with you in the night. And I will destroy Israel, your mother. My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me. Since you priests refuse to know me, I refuse to recognize you as my priests. Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.” + Proverbs 1:29 “For they hated knowledge and chose not to fear the Lord.” ‭ “Hated knowledge” When you refuse to obey God, even though knowing the right thing to do Unwillingness to follow after the Lord’s word; the information God reveals to allow us to know him **Knowing God creates change through repentance and obeying his will. **As children, they are humbled enough to see truth as their reality without second guessing. Unless we become like a child before God, we will never enter the Kingdom of God because we don’t live off of his word. We need to rely on him solely knowing that we can do nothing without his wisdom and guidance. we can’t be learned and enter into his dwelling. We need to be willing to be seen as gullible in man’s eyes to be a child before God Humble - lower your thoughts and reasons and elevate what he says **Nothing hinders the Spirit. With God, all things are possible. **It’s our job to test to see if ___ is from God. We’ll know if words are from God based on the fruits of the things man says. Ways we hate knowledge: we become offended by his word (through others) God’s word becomes foolish to us and we no longer claim it We avoid his word Avoiding his words becomes easier and easier once we begin. We’ll find it hard to repent for the bigger things because we refuse to conform to the small things we rebel in. we don’t recieve it until it’s “for us” We won’t be able to receive knowledge from God until we believe every word is for us because it’s being received as a body. we don’t respond to God when he calls. We hit snooze when he tells us to wake up **Repentance requires grace, it’s a whole mind and heart change. **Seeking after God reveals our heart’s desire(s). It shows, though imperfect, we still strive to become more like him. “Be still” - let go and surrender what is keeping you from trusting God Hebrews 3:7-19 “That is why the Holy Spirit says, “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness. There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years. So I was angry with them, and I said, ‘Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.’ So in my anger I took an oath: ‘They will never enter my place of rest.’ Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. You must warn each other every day, while it is still “today,” so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God. For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ. Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled.” And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn’t it the people Moses led out of Egypt? And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn’t it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness? And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn’t it the people who disobeyed him? So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.” **Unbelief comes from a hardness of our hearts. **Don’t allow your life’s circumstances to make you doubt God and forget his being. How do we know that we know God? When our actions are aligned with his word We know his voice How to learn about God: Ephesians 4:17-32 “With the Lord’s authority I say this: Live no longer as the Gentiles do, your old way of living for they are hopelessly confused. Their minds are full of darkness; they wander far from the life God gives because they have closed their minds and hardened their hearts against him. They have no sense of shame. They live for lustful pleasure and eagerly practice every kind of impurity. But that isn’t what you learned about Christ. Since you have heard about Jesus and have learned the truth that comes from him, assuming you’ve changed through your knowledge throw off your old sinful nature and your former way of life, which is corrupted by lust and deception. Instead, let the Spirit renew your thoughts and attitudes. Put on your new nature, created to be like God—truly righteous and holy. So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, for anger gives a foothold to the devil.” “If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.” Matthew 11:29-30 “Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”” take your pick. Either way, we’re going to have a yoke to carry. We have to decide whether we want to choose the yoke of bondage or freedom in God. We have two natures. The one we constantly feed is the one that will prevail in our lives. **It may not be bad but does it have any spiritual substance? **God’s yoke leads to peace and rest ** There’s no substitute for what God gives to us Colossians 3:15 “And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.” if you don’t have peace, there needs to be a new level of submission to the Lord. 1 Corinthians 2:6-14 “Yet when I am among mature believers, I do speak with words of wisdom, but not the kind of wisdom that belongs to this world or to the rulers of this world, who are soon forgotten. No, the wisdom we speak of is the mystery of God—his plan that was previously hidden, even though he made it for our ultimate glory before the world began. But the rulers of this world have not understood it; if they had, they would not have crucified our glorious Lord. That is what the Scriptures mean when they say, “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” But it was to us that God revealed these things by his Spirit. For his Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets. No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit. And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means.” the Spirit is important in learning about God. Ephesians 5:13-16 “But their evil intentions will be exposed when the light shines on them, for the light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, “Awake, O sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.” When we know God we’ll be able to hear what God is saying to us “Know God” - his character and attributes Through knowing God’s word, we allow his word to filter our actions, the words of others and our thoughts. We’ll develop convictions as to what to do and not to do. His word creates in us peace and lack there of based on the borders that we remain in or go out of. we need to glorify him as we are filled with more of him In life we learn not to trust people early (old way of living). When we renew our minds with Christ and desire his milk, we’ll be given a different outlook as to who God is and his character (new way of living through our new knowledge of him). We won’t put the perception of man onto God because we know. Faith - being fully persuaded to give everything Are you committed/dedicated/have enough faith to what God is doing to endure it all? “Lord of Heaven’s Army” “Army” - defends a nation When we are committed to God and do as he says, he will defend us. He will defend us because he loves us but is also faithful to his word, he will do all he says.

“They went in whatever direction the spirit chose, and they moved straight forward in any direction without turning around. When the living beings moved, the wheels moved with them. When they flew upward, the wheels went up, too. The spirit of the living beings was in the wheels. So wherever the spirit went, the wheels and the living beings also went. When the beings moved, the wheels moved. When the beings stopped, the wheels stopped. When the beings flew upward, the wheels rose up, for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.” ‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭1:12, 19-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord. Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to God in heaven, and say: “We have sinned and rebelled and you have not forgiven.” ‭ “But now this is what the Lord says: “Do not weep any longer, for I will reward you,” says the Lord. “Your children will come back to you from the distant land of the enemy. There is hope for your future,” says the Lord. “Your children will come again to their own land. I have heard Israel saying, ‘You disciplined me severely, like a calf that needs training for the yoke. Turn me again to you and restore me, for you alone are the Lord my God. I turned away from God, but then I was sorry. I kicked myself for my stupidity! I was thoroughly ashamed of all I did in my younger days.’ “Is not Israel still my son, my darling child?” says the Lord. “I often have to punish him, but I still love him.
